AS A BULLDOG:  Smith joins the UMD men's basketball coaching squad after playing on the basketball team. Smith plans to pursue a path in coaching.

BEFORE UMD: A 2017 graduate of Kaukauna High School • three year starter for head coach Mike Schalow (father of current Bulldog Kyle Schalow) and the Ghosts • earned All-Fox Valley Association first team and All- State honorable mention accolades after junior season • was sidelined due to injury senior season • led Kaukauna High School to its first Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association State Championship during the 2015-16 season • holds the Ghosts all-time record for shooting efficiency • is planning to major in education at UMD.

PERSONAL: Born Adam Smith in Appleton,Wis. • son of Don Smith and Barb Boness • one of six siblings • while at Kaukauna, served as Ignition mentor • was named the Post-Cresent Scholar for the Week (Nov. 6, 2016) • is planning to major in business at UMD.
