Marc Sonnen joins the Bulldogs coaching staff for the 2022-23 season.
Sonnen comes from St. Paul, Minnesota where he recently spent one season as the Video Coordinator and then two seasons as a Graduate Assistant for the University of Northern Iowa Men's Basketball team. Before that, Sonnen was a volunteer Assistant Coach for Tartan High School. Sonnen was in charge of video for players and coaches, film set up and breakdown, scouting opponents and on court workouts during his time at UNI.
Sonnen played four seasons at UNI where he was on the team that made it to the sweet 16 during his freshman season. During his tenor, he ranks top 10 in games played, career wins, 3PT made in a season and career, and 3PT % in a season and career. Sonnen graduated with a degree in Sociology and a Minor in Coaching before receiving a Masters in Community Health and Recreation.
