Vollbrecht trained with the Bulldogs in 2017-18 and received a redshirt.

BEFORE UMD: A 2017 graduate of Jordan High School • named the Minnesota River Conference Most Valuable Player after averaging 24.0 points per game his senior season • added nine rebounds per contest along with two blocks • notched over 1,400 points to become the second-leading scorer in Jordan High School history • holds the school record with 47 points scored in one game, a feat he accomplished during his junior season • following the 2016-17 season, was selected to participate in the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Series, an opportunity given to 40 senior basketball players around the state.

PERSONAL: Born Jimmy Vollbrecht in Jordan, Minn. • son of Elise and Robert Vollbrecht • is one of seven siblings, two brothers and four sisters • is planning to major in business at UMD.
