Biography

BEFORE UMD: Sutherland comes to the Bulldogs after playing in Grand Rapids. He was listed as the No. 30 ranked prospect for the Minnesota 2020 class per Prep Hoops Minnesota. He was able to average 27.5 points per game, with 12.1 rebounds per game, as well as break the schools season scoring record with 688 points and the single-game scoring record with 49. He served as team captain for two straight seasons and played travel ball with the Northern Lakes AAU club.

PERSONAL: John is the son of Jesse and Becky Sutherland... born in Grand Rapids, Minn.... is majoring in Business at UMD.
