Appeared in seven games his first collegiate season • picked up a season-best six points against Southwest Minnesota State in the opening round of the NSIC Tournament • also knocked down a pair of three-pointers against SMSU • averaged 3.1 minutes per game off the bench.

BEFORE UMD: A 2016 graduate of Altoona High School • ranked as the  25th best Wisconsin senior in 2015-16 and the no. 13-highest ranked commit to an NCAA II school • earned a 2016 Division 3 All Star Game selection by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association • selected to All-Western Cloverbelt Conference First Team during his senior campaign.

PERSONAL: Born Maxwell James Bawden in Madison, Wisconsin • son of Tim and Wendy Bawden • is majoring in business at UMD.
