2024-25 (Sophmore):

• Invited to the Minnesota Wild's Development Camp (July 2024)
• 2024-25 NCHC Academic All-Conference Team
• Skated in all 36 games for the Bulldogs, registering three goals and 23 assists for 26 points
• Ranked 10th in the NCHC in assists per game (0.64) in league play
• Posted four multiple-point games, including two games with three or more points
• Set a career-high mark for points and assists on Oct. 18, 2024 against Minnesota at home with four assists

2023-24 (Freshman):

• Invited to the Minnesota Wild's Development Camp (July 2023)
• 2023-24 Newcomer NCHC Academic All-Conference Team
• NCHC Defenseman of the Week (Mar.11,2024)
• Jerry Chumola Award as UMD's Rookie of the Year
• Played in all 37 games as a rookie
• Recorded three goals and 17 assists for 20 points
• Posted three multiple-point games, including a three-point effort against St. Cloud State on March 8, 2024 at AMSOIL Arena
• Landed his first collegiate point in his first collegiate game against Michigan Tech at AMSOIL Arena on Oct. 7, 2023
• Scored his first goal as a Bulldog on Oct. 20, 2023 against Bemidji State at home

BEFORE UMD: 2023 NHL Entry Draft Pick (Minnesota Wild, Round 5 #149) ... played for Hermantown High School (2018-21) ... joined the Minnesota Wilderness (NAHL) for 10 games in 2020-21 and 51 games the following season … transitioned to the Waterloo Black Hawks (USHL) for the 2022-23 season and scored 36 points in 60 games.

PERSONAL: Son of Scott and Karen Pionk…youngest of four brothers (Corbin, Neal, Nate, Joe)… brother Neal played for the Bulldogs from 2015-17 and currently plays for the Winnipeg Jets of the NHL ... majoring in communication at UMD.
