Biography

BEFORE UMD: Transferred to UMD after playing four years at Miami University (OH) as a solid shutdown center. Dressed in 131 games for the RedHawks while posting 26 goals and 51 assists for 77 career points. Served as an assistant captain for Miami during his senior season. Tallied 15 goals and 33 points as a member of the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the USHL. The year prior, notched 11 goals and 24 points in 56 games with the Minnesota Wilderness of the NAHL.  
PERSONAL: Is the son of Craig and Denise Gilling ... Has three siblings (Cal, Claire, and Caroline) ... Is pursuing his master's degree in education at UMD.
