2016 NSIC All-Academic Team
Played for the Duluth Huskies of the Northwoods League during the 2016 summer season.
BULLDOG CAREER:
2017 (Junior) Toed the rubber 13 times including eight starts · worked 46.1 innings, striking out 50 batters while walking 15 · struck out 10 on two different occasions. The first coming on March 8 against Grand Valley State in just 5.0 innings, and the other coming in a 6.0 inning performance against Minot State on April 22 - both counting as two of his three wins on the season · picked up his first collegiate save on May 5 against Northern State.  
2016 (Sophomore) Took the mound on 10 occasions including nine starts · struck out five while allowing two earned in 5.0 innings against Ohio Dominican on March 8 · picked up the first win of his season with 5.2 innings against Minnesota State on March 29 · struck out six while going 6.0 strong to claim victory against Concordia-St. Paul · collected a season-high eight strikeouts in a victory against Minot State on April 30 · struck out six, allowing four earned on eight hits against Concordia-St. Paul in the NSIC Tournament · NSIC All-Academic Team.
2015 (Freshman) Took the hill for 10 appearances, including five starts for UMD · tossed a perfect 0.2 inning in his collegiate debut against Northwood (Mich.) on Mar. 13 · struck out six in 5.0 innings in his first collegiate start against St. Michael's (Vt.) on Mar. 17 · struck out seven in 4.1 hitless innings out of the bullpen against Southwest Minnesota State on Apr. 8 · threw five shutout innings and picked up his first collegiate win over Minnesota-Crookston on Apr. 15.

BEFORE UMD: A 2014 graduate of Eastview High School · played four seasons as an outfielder and pitcher for coach Tom Strey and the Lightning · helped lead Eastview to a 2012 Minnesota State Championship in Class AAA as the winning pitcher in the team's semifinal game · earned all South Suburban Conference honors in 2013, setting the all-time low season ERA for the Lightning · also started one season of basketball at Easview.
PERSONAL: Born Marcus Ross Frederickson in Eagan, Minn. · son of Karen and Ross Frederickson · has one younger sister, Steffi · grandmother and uncle are both UMD graduates · a three-year member of National Honor Society at Eastview H.S. · off the diamond, enjoys coaching youth basketball, golf, and hockey · majoring in finance at UMD.
