• Finished the season with the second-most points in all of the NCAA among defensemen with 36 points (10 goals, 26 assists)
• Had a team-high on ice time average of 25:37 (also the sixth most ice time average in the nation)
• Recorded eight multiple point games, including four contests with three points and on Nov. 14, 2025  against Omaha, became the first Bulldog defenseman in 25 years to score a hat trick
• Critical part of UMD's NCAA second-best power play -- had 10 assists on the power play to pair with two power play goals for 12 power play points
• Voted an alternate captain
• Invited to the Pittsburgh Penguins Summer Development Camp (July 2025)

2024-25 (Freshman): 

• 2024-25 Newcomer NCHC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete
• 2024-25 Newcomer NCHC Academic All-Conference Team
• NCHC Rookie of the Week (February 17, 2025)
• Played in all 36 of UMD's games as a rookie, recording four goals and 10 assists for 14 points
• Compiled two points in a game twice (1g, 1a) against Miami (OH) on Nov. 16, 2024  and Arizona State on Feb. 16, 2025
• Had a career-high six blocks on March 15, 2025 against Arizona State

BEFORE UMD: Named an All-USHL Second Team performer in 2023-24 with the Sioux City Musketeers after his 47 points from the backline led all Musketeer defenseman and ranked second among all USHL defenseman ... in 59 games with Sioux City, the blueliner racked up 10 goals and 37 assists and in 117 total USHL games compiled 72 total points (14g, 58a) ... was named the Defenseman of the Conference of Semifinals after picking up five points (2g, 3a) and was named the USHL Defensive Player of the Week three times ... the team captain was a 2022-23 USHL All-Rookie Second Team selection ... skated on the 2022 U.S. Under-18 Men's Select Team at the 2022 Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Red Deer, Alberta ... helped Hermantown High School to a state title in 2022 and was named to the State All-Tournament Team .. appeared in 31 games, tallying 15 goals and 30 assists for 45 points as a senior with the Hawks.

PERSONAL: Is the son of  Greg and Brenda Hanson ... has one sister (Brooke) ... dad Greg was a defenseman for the Bulldogs from 1992-1996 and was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyersa in 1990 in the eighth round with the 193rd pick ... was also four times on the Honor Roll at Hermantown High School, graduated with honors in 2023 ... is a finance major at UMD.
