PERSONAL: Born Kyle Henry Schmidt on Oct. 30, 1995 in Burnsville, Minnesota · son of Patti and Steven Schmidt · has one brother, Matthew · three cousins have played collegiate softball, including Jessica Horne at UMD, Rebecca Schmidt at Drake, and Danielle Schmidt at Wheaton · enjoys snowmobling and hunting when off the diamond · majoring in physical education at UMD.
