Was redshirted as a first-year freshman. 

BEFORE UMD: Two-year starter for the Cardinals of Willmar High School. Served as a team captain during his senior campaign. Team MVP in 2020, while also earning offensive MVP in 2021. Two-time all-conference honoree in 2020 and 2021. Was North Central District's Most Valuable Quarterback during both his junior and senior seasons. Also competed for the Cardinals in both basketball and baseball. 

PERSONAL: Son of Rayette and Mike... has a sister (Erica)... is majoring in business at UMD.
