BULLDOG CAREER
2017 (Junior) Exploded as one of top goal scorers for the Bulldogs • selected as a NSIC All-Conference Third Team • scored six goals and an assist for 13 points -- second on the team and 16th in the conference -- nearly doubled her point production from last season • her six goals was second only to captain Skye Finley • rallied off 10 points in five games including blasting a pair of goals with the game decider in the 2-1 win over Upper Iowa •• achieved the highest shots on goal percentage (.696) on the team.

2016 (Sophomore) Came off the bench as a fresh attacker seeing action in 18 games for UMD • notched seven points after being shutout on the stat sheet last year • netted her first collegiate goal in a 2-1 victory over Northern Michigan on Sept. 11 • picked up a pair of assists against Minnesota Crookston on Oct. 28 • sent nine shots on goal over the season, including three against U-Mary.

2015 (Freshman) Appeared in 10 games including one start for UMD • notched two shots on goal in the Bulldogs' 1-0 victory against MSU Moorhead on Sept. 19 • collected a season-high four shots including two on-goal in UMD's 2-2 tie at U-Mary on Oct. 18.

BEFORE UMD A 2015 graduate of Farmington High School • started all four seasons with the Tigers • selected All-Missota Conference as a junior and All-South Suburban Conference honorable mention as a senior • voted team MVP as a junior • served as team captain as a senior • received Coaches' Choice team award as a junior and senior • played on Dakota REV club soccer team • also participated in track & field for three seasons, earning an All-Missota Conference Honorable Mention as a sophomore.

PERSONAL Born Destiny Marie Schmitz in Mason City, Iowa • daughter of Lonna Daniels and Jim Schmitz • has two siblings, Cody Schmitz and Nick Helland • father and brother each wrestled in college • four-year academic letter winner, member of student council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Students for Christ in high school • plans to major in cellular and molecular biology at UMD.
