BULLDOG CAREER
2019: Made appearances in four games in her junior season for the Bulldogs... started a match against St. Cloud State University, playing in 38 minutes... Bland played in 72 minutes overall on the season... was named to the NSIC All-Academic team.
2018: Suited up in five games, playing a total of 98 minutes as a reserve • registered her lone shot on the road against Minnesota Crookston on Sept. 14 • played 20-plus minutes twice including a season-high 29 minutes in the Oct. 19 home match versus Southwest Minnesota State • selected to the NSIC All-Academic Team.
2017: Played sparingly behind a deep group of midfielders seeing the pitch on 10 occasions • provided UMD with valuable depth as one of the seven Bulldogs to register her first career points • made the most out of her first collegiate shot, scoring her first Bulldog goal -- the game winner against Northern State • posted three shots, two on net for a .667 percentage clip on goal • played a season-high 30 of her 166 minutes in the Sept. 24 game versus Northern State.

Bland trained with the Bulldogs but did not see game action, receiving a redshirt in 2016.

BEFORE UMD: A 2016 graduate of Eagan High School • played three years on the midfield for the Wildcats and head coach Bulut Ozlurk • voted the team's most improved player • won back-to-back MSHSL championships in 2014 and 2015 and a South Suburban Conference • played her club soccer with Minnesota Thunder Academy and most recently with Minnesota Twin Stars, where she serves as a team captain • also participated in track & field for two seasons as a sprinter.

PERSONAL: Born Gabrielle Winifred Rose Bland on March 22, 1998 in Minneapolis, Minn. • daughter of Barbara and David • has one younger brother, Jack • placed on the “A” Honor Roll while at Eagan H.S. and participated in Youth Frontiers Leadership, Link Leaders, French club, and yearbook staff • her father, David, played in the British Premier League for Liverpool and Preston North End and is a national soccer referee • is planning to major in political science (pre-law) at UMD.
