Biography

BULLDOG CAREER
2020:
Season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
2019:
As a sophomore, Ford saw action in all 18 games for the Bulldogs on the season... started seven games on the year... took four shots on the year with two hitting the net and one going in against the University of Minnesota Crookston... finished the season with 561 minutes which topped her previous season by over 100 minutes... finished with a .500 shots on goal percentage and a total of two points for the year... was named to the NSIC All-Academic team.
2018: Gave the Bulldogs another threat on the offensive side • saw the pitch in all but one game and also made starts in three of those 16 appearances • scored a goal and tallied a helper on another for three points in her first go-around • netted her only goal of the season -- her first collegiate -- against nationally ranked Bemidji State on Sept. 16 • registered her first assist on Oct. 19 at home against Southwest Minnesota State • played a season high 49 minutes against North Dakota and was awarded her first collegiate start against Minnesota Crookston (Sept. 14) the following game • attempted nine shots with four landing on goal • in her first career start, she took a season high two shots.

Ford trained with the Bulldogs but did not see game action, receiving a redshirt during her first season in 2017.

BEFORE UMD:
 

A 2017 graduate of Eastview High School • a three-year starter for David Herem and the Lightning • the only player in Eastview history to score a hat trick in one half • was also a member of the Dakota Rev Soccer Club, which captured five U.S. Youth Soccer Minnesota State Cups, while teaming with Jenna Eichten and Morgan Regnier • completed five seasons and was a four-year starter for the Lightning hockey team, also being named an All-South Suburban Conference honorable mention • was named “Miss Hustle” for the Lightning and guided Eastview to the state tournament three years in a row.

PERSONAL:
Born Haley Jean Ford on Sept. 16, 1998 in Minneapolis, Minn. • daughter of Trace and Laura • has three siblings (Jessi, Jake and Ally) • is a great grand daughter of former UMD football and basketball coach Lloyd Peterson (a charter member of UMD Hall of Fame) and grand daughter of Darrel "Lefty" Warner (also a UMD Hall of Famer class of 2008) • while at Eastview, Ford participated in LINC Leadership, Spanish National Honors Society and received an Athletic Scholar Achievement letter • majoring in marketing/graphic design at UMD.
