BEFORE UMD A 2015 graduate of Hermantown High School • started all four seasons for the Hawks • earned All-Lake Superior Conference First Team selection during her final three seasons at Hermantown • served as team captain her senior year • an All-State nominee her senior season • played on the Hermantown club soccer team • earned six letters in track & field with five seasons on the All-Conference first team, and also two All-Conference selections in three seasons of Nordic Skiing.

PERSONAL Born Lyla Ann Abukhodair (pronounced Ahb-ooh-ka-dare) on Dec. 21, 1996 in Duluth, Minnesota • daughter of Ann and Bassam Abukhodair • youngest of three siblings: Sami, Zac, and Isak • also participated in National Honro Sciety and Link Crew in high school • plans to major in psychology with a minor in communications at UMD.
