• Despite playing in just 23 games due to injury and national junior team duty, scored nine goals and dished 19 assists for 28 points as a rookie
• Averaged 1.21 points per game overall, including a 1.05 ppg average in NCHC games that led all rookies in league play
• Had nine games with two or more points and ran up a seven-game scoring streak from Dec. 6, 2024 through Jan. 24, 2025 (6g, 5a for 11 points)
• Ranked second on the Bulldogs in scoring and added three power play goals and one game-winning tally
• Notched a career-high three points against Arizona State on March 15, 2025 (1g, 2a)
• Dished two assists in his first game as a Bulldog against Bemidji State at home on Oct. 5, 2024
• Scored his first collegiate goal on Dec. 6, 2024 against Arizona State

BEFORE UMD: 2024 NHL Entry Draft Pick (Detroit Red Wings, Round 2 #47) ... invited to the Red Wing Summer Development Camp in July of 2024 ... one of three current Bulldogs invited to the 2024 USA Hockey World Junior Summer Showcase ... skated for the U.S. in the 2024 IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship in Finland, helping his side to a silver medal ... appeared in seven games, scoring two goals and adding nine assists for 11 points for a 1.57 ppg average in the tournament ... played the last two seasons in the NTDP – was honored as one of the top American draft prospects with an invite to the Chipotle All-American Game in Plymouth, Mich. in January of 2024 ... helped lead Hermantown High School to a Minnesota Class A state championship in 2021-22 as a sophomore and was named to the 2022 Boys Hockey State All-Tournament Team for his efforts ... led the Hawks in scoring that season -- his final year of high school hockey before going to the USNTDP -- with 71 points, totaling 18 goals and a team-high 53 assists in 31 games.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Derek and Kristi Plante ... Derek played hockey for the Bulldogs from 1989-93 and was a Hobey Baker finalist in 1992-93 ... Kristi was both a standout basketball player (1991-1995) and softball player for UMD (1993-95) ... has two brothers (Zam, Victor) ... older brother Zam is also on the team  ... is a business major at UMD.
