BULLDOG CAREER
2021: Grenz had 96 saves on the year putting her 5th for all time saves in one season at UMD...She finished the year with a 3-10-2 record and tallied 3 shutouts with a .762 save percentage... Was named to the NSIC All-Academic Team.
2020: Season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic. In her first season with UMD, Grenz started every single game...had a total of 87 saves on the year, good for ninth all time at UMD...finished the season with a 1.39 goals against average,  just behind 10th all time (Hanna Iaizzo, 1.31)...finished the year with a 6-10-2 record on the year...had a .770 save percentage and one shutout on the season.

BEFORE UMD: Spent one season with Indiana State University before transferring to UMD in 2019...earned a redshirt training under the Sycamores goalkeepers in 2018 as ISU went 6-9-3...a 2018 graduate of Shattuck-St. Mary's High School...played her last three seasons at Shattuck (teammates with Brooke Scheuble) and her freshman season at Burnsville High School...played for the first Shattuck club to premier in the U.S. Soccer Girls’ Development Academy (first Minnesota school)...placed third at the Midwest Regional tournament in 2017...grabbed the 2015 Minnesota State championship with the Minneapolis United, winning in a shutout stopping three our of seven attempts...nabbed a state runner-up finish with the same Minneapolis United club in 2016...played one season of varsity with the Burnsville Blaze.

PERSONAL: Born Sophia Irene Grenz in Burnsville, Minn....daughter of Steven and Celeste Grenz...has two older siblings, Cecelia and Meghann...served under the Student Council, and the Breakfast Club at Shattuck...honor role student and graduated with High Honors at Shattuck and made the Dean's List at Indiana State in the fall of 2018...majoring in exercise science at UMD.
