UMD Athletics

Luke Grote, a dedicated athlete and coach, hails from Milton, Wisconsin, where he attended Milton High School. During his time there, he excelled on the tennis team, earning a trip to the state tournament as a junior. His passion for the sport continued into college, where he became an integral part of the UMD Club Tennis Team, serving as both a player and the team's treasurer.

Now in his second year as a graduate student in the Master's of Psychology program at the University of Minnesota Duluth, Luke balances academics with his love for tennis and coaching. He is currently in his first year as an assistant coach, moving up after a year of volunteering coaching for the UMD Women’s Tennis Team, helping develop student-athletes both on and off the court. His coaching experience extends beyond the college level, as he has also worked with youth athletes in both tennis and hockey, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for sports with the next generation.

With a strong background in athletics and psychology, Luke continues to contribute to the tennis community while pursuing his graduate studies.
