AS A BULLDOG:
2017: Battled the injury bug during most of the season, which resulted in just two appearances -- March 6-7 versus Penn State Berks and Stonehill ... was one of five Bulldogs to make the NSIC All-Academic Team.
2016: Shared the team lead in singles wins, going 6-11 (with all but two of those matches being contested at No. 4) ... finished the year with a 5-11 doubles mark .. was paired with three different partners ... qualified for the NSIC All-Academic Team and was the recipient of the UMD Labovitz School of Business & Economics Community Service Excellence Award.
2015: Proved to be a valuable asset in the UMD lineup as a rookie ... wound up posting the second most singles victories (she was 8-8 overall, primarily at No. 6) and second best winning percentage among Bulldogs ... went a team best 7-4 against NSIC competition ... commenced her college career with four straight losses, than reeled off five straight triumphs (the longest winning streak by a Bulldog in four years) ...  did not play any doubles during her first collegiate go-around.
BEFORE UMD: Is a 2014 graduate of Maple Grove High School ... joined the Crimson varsity as an eighth grader ... secured All-Northwest Suburban Conference status in each of her final three prep seasons ... was voted the Crimson's Most Valuable Player as both a junior and senior ... qualified for four straight Section 5AA Tournaments in singles (2010-13) ... also was a five-time golf letterwinner at Maple Grove H.S. ... participated in a pair of Minnesota State High School Class AA Golf Tournaments (2013 and 2014) ... was a member of the National Honor Society from 2012 to 2014.
PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Randy and Teresa Klasen (a UMD alumnae) ... has no brothers or sisters ... is majoring in marketing and graphic design.
