AS A BULLDOG: 
2016: Filled a backup role on UMD's talent-laden offensive front ... was called into action once (in UMD's 75-14 home final triumph over Mary on Nov. 5) ... qualified for the NSIC All-Academic Team.
2015: Provided the Bulldogs with valuable reserve power at the ball snapper post ... got into a pair of games -- both at Malosky Stadium (Wayne State on Sept. 12 and Minnesota Crookston on Oct. 24 ... was an NSIC All-Academic Team honoree.
2014: Bided his time as the team's No. 2 center ... made five appearances, the last coming on Nov. 15 at Minot State.
2013: Was redshirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Put an exclamation point on his playing days at Totino-Grace High School in 2012 by securing Associated Press All-State (second team),  All-Northwest Suburban Conference (first team) honors and landing the league's Offensive Lineman of the Year award … was bestowed with first team All-Metro honors by KARE 11-TV and the Minneapolis Star Tribune and a honorable mention citation from the St. Paul Pioneer Press as a senior … earned earned a pair of letters with the baseball Eagles (pitcher and first base) … was a member of the Totino-Grace executive board and the National Honor Society and named a Kathleen Murphy Scholar.
PERSONAL:  Is the son of Marshall Porter and Patty Bednarczyk ... is majoring in mechanical engineering at UMD.
