Biography

BULLDOG CAREER:
2018 (Junior)
Obtained All-NSIC Second Team honors • the primary middle blocker for the Bulldogs playing in all but three sets in 34 starts • powered home a personal best 234 kills, fifth on the team, and led the team with 120 blocks (team-high 15 solo blocks) • named the NSIC Offensive Player of the Week - second of her career - and to the All-NSIC All-Tournament Team • lone Bulldog to average over a block per set and corralled 11 matches with at least five blocks in a match • had a season-high seven blocks against Concordia-St. Paul on Oct. 3 • was the Bulldogs' second most efficient attacker, striking home kills with a .343 clip • registered a career best 15 kills versus Minnesota State on Oct. 19 • tallied seven double-digit kill matches and hit over .600 on five separate occasions • hit an astounding .857 (12-for-14) against Augustana on Sept. 28 • named to the NSIC All-Academic Team.

2017 (Sophomore) Corralled a starting position for half the season and made the most of the opportunity, suiting up in all 119 sets (one of five Bulldogs to play in every set) • notched 213 kills, fifth among her teammates, and 102 blocks on the year, good for second behind All-American Allison Olley • registered the third best hitting percentage on the team (.299) • rejected a then career-high nine blocks in the four-set thumping of Southwest Minnesota State • named the NSIC Defensive Player of the Week award on Oct. 23 • nailed down double-digit kills in five matches including a personal best 12 kills on Oct. 14 against Upper Iowa • had her most effective attacking performance against Wayne State on Sept. 22 thumping down 11 kills with no errors on 17 swings (.647 attack percentage) • selected to the NSIC All-Academic Team.

2016 (Freshman) Made eight appearances has an understudy of middle blockers her first collegiate season • made use of her opportunities, downing 17 kills in 12 sets played • recorded an impressive .367 attack percentage on 30 total attacks • collected a season-high nine kills on 12 attacks against Wayne State (Neb.) on Oct. 21 • accumulated six blocks on the season.

BEFORE UMD: A 2016 graduate of New Life Academy • started five seasons for coach Wally Bomgren and the Eagles • earned first team All-State honors in her junior and senior seasons • selected All-Conference in the Minnesota Christian Athletic Association each of her five seasons, earning First Team honors in 2012, 2014, and 2015 • selected to St. Paul Pioneer Press and Minneapolis Star Tribune All-Metro teams • finalist for the Ms. Baden Minnesota volleyball player of the year • served as team captain for three seasons • also played one season of basketball then served as an assistant coach for the junior high team.

PERSONAL: Born Abigail Grace Thor in St. Paul, Minn. • daughter of Lisa and Steve Thor • has one brother, Zach • while at New Life Academy, participated in student council and National Honor Society, where she served as president in her senior year • plans to major in marketing analytics at UMD.
