AS A BULLDOG:

2021: Started in 37 of 38 games played in his senior season. Recorded  career highs in batting average .336 , runs scored 37 (team leading), RBI's 28 (team leading), slugging percentage .412, on base percentage .413, hits 44, and stolen bases with nine. Drew 12 walks on the year and recorded eight extra base hits. 

2020: Appeared in six games of the pandemic shortened 2020 season starting three of those six. Batted .333 and came around to score three runs, drew one walk and recorded an on-base percentage of .400. Stole one base. 

2019: Made 38 starts while appearing 44 games as a sophomore ... hit .277 on the year while slugging .353 on the year and blasted two over the wall ... was 5th on the team in walks with 12 on the year ... was third on the team with five stolen bases on the year ... was third on the team in average with the bases juiced, hitting .429 with bases loaded ... named as UMD's Most Improved Player along with Paul Petit.
2018: Cracked the starting lineup (second base) 19 times as rookie and played in 27 games overall ... made his first two starts in the season opening doubleheader with Bemidji State and picked up a hit in both outings ... that began a stretch in which he hit safely in eight of his first 12 collegiate games ... went 3-for-4 and stole three bases in a 7-3 home win over Upper Iowa on March 30 ... tied for second on the team with sacrifice bunts (4) ... went without an extra base hit during the season.
BEFORE UMD: Is a 2017 graduate of Chisago Lakes High School ... started three seasons for baseball Lakers ... attained All-Mississippi 8 Conference honors each year ... paced the Lakers in batting average, hits, extra-base hits, runs batted in, runs scored and home runs on his way to being named the Mississippi 8 Offensive MVP twice (2016 and 2017) ... also lettered in alpine skiing and football during his prep career,
PERSONAL: Born Anders Leslie Brown ... is the son of Dan Brown and Su Leslie ... has one younger sibling (August) ... is majoring in exercise science (pre-physical therapy) at UMD.
