BULLDOG CAREER
2014 Outlook: Will continue to see time in the middle and on the right side as a key blocker for UMD.

2013 (Junior): Appeared in 17 matches including seven starts for UMD • collected a career-high eight blocks at Minot State on Oct. 11 • started the season with a career-high six kills at West Florida, repeating that mark a week leader against Wayne State (Mich.) University • collected career-highs in kills, blocks, and points.

2012 (Sophomore): Played in seven matches, earning one kill in every appearance on the season • Scored ten points on the season, an average over one per set • Selected to NSIC All-Academic Team.

2011 (Freshman): Spent her first collegiate go-around as a reserve middle blocker—UMD’s deepest position in 2011 • entered three matches on the year, attempting four swings and collecting one set assist.

BEFORE UMD: Started two years in volleyball under coach Dennis Piechowski at Hutchinson High School, playing both the right side and middle blocker positions • helped lead her team to a 2009 section 2AA second-place finish, and to a 2010 state tournament appearance • named Academic All-State and an All-Tournament performer at the state tournament.

PERSONAL: Born Jessica Anne Zieman on Dec. 25, 1992 in Hutchinson, Minn. • daughter of Dale and Shari Zieman • has one brother, Brad • participated in Key Club and was a member of the National Honor Society • outside interests include snowboarding, camping and wakeboarding.
