BULLDOG CAREER:
2016 (Junior) Saw her most action of her career playing in six matches for the Bulldogs as a reserve setter • saw her most action against Sioux Falls on Oct. 28, appearing in three sets while racking up a career-high 11 assists • also downed one kill in that match against USF • concluded the season with 23 assists, six digs, and a kill.
2015 (Sophomore) Appeared in one match • collected two assists and her first career kill--the match-winner against St. Cloud State on Sept. 22.
2014 (Freshman) Appeared in three matches and three games for UMD • made her collegiate debut, grabbing one dig, against Lake Superior State on Sept. 6 • added her first collegiate assist against U-Mary on Oct. 17 • finished the season with one assist and one dig.

BEFORE UMD: A 2013 graduate of Green Bay Preble High School • played four years for head coach Andrea Koch and the Hornets • selected to All-Fox River Classic Conference Second Team in her junior and senior seasons • named Team MVP as a senior • served as a two-year captain • also received first team all-conference selections in track & field as a freshman and sophomore and honorable mentions in her final two season as a sprinter and jumper • earned Peter C. Hamel Most Valuable Female Athlete Award.

PERSONAL: Born Sarah Jean Heesacker in Green Bay, Wis. • daughter of Rob Heesacker and Jennifer Jones • has six siblings and stepsiblings • stepbrother Reece Zoelle played basketball for UMD •  also participated in link crew and Preble Peer Peformance • off the court, enjoys boating and outdoor sports in the summer • plans to major in exercise science at UMD.
