BULLDOG CAREER:
2017-18 (Junior) Became the full-time starter as the center for the Bulldogs • corralled 24 starts and averaged 24.8 minutes per game • established a collegiate best 20 points against MSU Moorhead and Winona State • nailed his only double-double of the season in the NSIC Tournament Quarterfinal against Northern State on 20 points and 12 rebounds • notched a career high four blocks in the opening round of the NSIC Tournament • grabbed a season and career high 13 rebounds in the victory over Upper Iowa • averaged 8.3 points on the season and reached double digits points in seven contests.
2016-17 (Sophomore) Appeared in 25 games while finding himself in the starting lineup eight times • picked up a career-high 17 points in games against Lindenwood and Bemidji State • posted a double-double while shooting 8-for-9 from the floor against BSU • swatted away three shots against Minot State • notched double-digit points in four of the first six games of the season.
2015-16 (Freshman) Appeared in 22 games off the bench, averaging 5.4 minutes in his first collegiate go-around • grabbed a season-high five rebounds and scored four points against East Central (Okla.) on Nov. 14 • scored a collegiate-high five points at No. 4 MSU Moorhead on Dec. 12 • averaged 1.5 points and 1.5 rebounds for the Bulldogs.

BEFORE UMD: A 2015 graduate of Robbinsdale Armstrong High School • ranked first in the Northwest Suburban Conference with 8.5 rebounds and third in assists with 3.4 assists during his senior season • earned an All-Metro Third Team selection by the Star Tribune • scored 15.3 points, grabbed one steal, and knocked back 1.2 blocks per game last season.

PERSONAL: Born Sean Lamar Burns, Jr. in Robbinsdale, Minn. • son of Trishell and Sean Burns • has one older sister, Trishanna • father, Sean Burns, Sr., played junior college basketball in Illinois • will major in communication at UMD.
