2014 (Junior): Appeared in 23 matches including a pair of starts for UMD, and played in 50 sets on the season • averaged 1.06 digs per game with a .915 reception percentage as a defensive reserve • matched her career-high of seven digs in the season opener against Northern Michigan on Sept. 4, improving that the next game out with eight against Wisconsin-Parkside on Sept. 5 • dropped in three service aces against Lake Superior State on Sept. 6 grabbed six digs in back-to-back games against BYU-Hawaii and Tampa on Sept. 12-13 • collected 53 digs, 11 assists, and four service aces on the season • NSIC All-Academic First Team selection.
2013 (Sophomore): Appeared in 35 of 36 matches as the primary defensive reserve for the Bulldogs • collected a career-high seven digs against Michigan Tech on Sept. 17 and matched that feat against Southwest Minnesota on Nov. 2 • added a pair of assists in a 3-0 UMD victory over Bemidji State on Sept. 21 • collected multiple service aces on three occasions, including the season opener against Wheeling Jesuit • collected career-highs in digs, assists, aces, and points.
2012 (Freshman): Played in five matches in her first season as a back-up at the defensive specialist position • Finished with three digs in limited playing time.
Caroline redshirted the 2011 season as a first-year newcomer.Â

BEFORE UMD: Started five years as an outside hitter for the Moose Lake High School Rebels, earning first-team All-Polar League Conference honors in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 • led the team in kills and service aces in 2009 and 2010, and reached the 1,000 digs mark during her junior season • received academic all-state honors in 2010, and was academic all-conference all five years of her service • participated in National Honor Society and was a class officer.
PERSONAL: Born Sheenagh Doherty Caroline on Nov. 6, 1992 in Moose Lake, Minn. • daughter of Tim and Sue Caroline • has one older brother, Brennan • enjoys swimming, reading and watching movies.
