THE BULLDOGS SWEEP SIOUX WITH TWO SHUTOUTS

UMD improved its overall record to 7-0-1 with a 5-0 win over the University of North Dakota on Saturday.

Four UMD players notched two points in the game: Erika Holst and Maria Rooth each tallied a goal and an assist, while Jenny Potter and Krista McArthur each had two assists. Tricia Guest (PPG), Caroline Ouellette and Leah Kasper (PPG) also contributed with a goal.

Three Bulldog forwards, Erika Holst, Jenny Potter and Caroline Ouellette, have earned a point in every game played this year. With Saturday's win Holst extended her multiple point-scoring streak to eight games. UMD scored a total of three power play goals and didn't allow any goals short handed in the game.

The Bulldogs now post a perfect 50/50 penalty kill mark and is the only team in the WCHA not to allow power play goals.

Patricia Sautter earned her second shut out of the season with nine saves, while Amber Hasbargen had 46 saves in the other end.

1st Star: Jenny Potter

2nd Star: Amber Hasbargen

3rd Star: Caroline Ouellette
