Senior Cash Langeness, who made his first collegiate start at the quarterback position a memorable one in last Saturday’s 49-18 victory over Wayne State College, has been rewarded with a selection as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference's Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
Langeness, the Bulldogs’ starting right cornerback for the past four seasons, rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown --- a 69-yard jaunt on the opening play from scrimmage -- on just seven carries. He also completed two of his four passes for 16 yards and another two scores in helping the Bulldogs to their school-record 16th straight home victory.
UMD will continue on its diet of NSIC competition Saturday afternoon by taking on the University of Minnesota-Crookston in Crookston.
