The University of Minnesota Duluth Men’s basketball team will kick-off their 2005-06 campaign tonight with an exhibition game against Athletes In Action at Romano Gymnasium. Tip-off is slated for 7:00pm and will be the first chance for Bulldog fans to get a real glimpse of the team as they take on an AIA team loaded with former Division I and II players. UMD is coming off their first season in the NCC and will showcase a team that didn’t lose a player to graduation. The Bulldogs will return all five starters from the 2004-2005 roster, including three time All-Conference player and Duluth native, Sean Seaman, All-Conference selection John Emerson, and NCC Freshman of the Year, John Vaudreuil.

AIA is currently traveling the upper Midwest, playing a complete college schedule. The team sports a 6-2 record in 8 games so far, including Tuesday night’s 95-87 win over Bulldog NCC rival Augustana.

Admission to tonight’s game will be $5 for adults, $1 for children, and free for UMD students with proper id.
