The UMD men's and women's cross country teams announced their respective 2005 team awards this weekend.

The men Bulldogs cappped off their season in true fashion by finishing seventh in the North Central region. The North Central men's region teams then went on to place three teams in the top ten at the national meet. This in turn means that next year the Bulldogs will be allowed five national berths in the North Central region next season instead of four.

On the women's side the Bulldogs finished off a tremendous season by finishing tenth in the North Central region. The North Central women's region teams then went on to place four teams in the top ten at the national meet. This allows the Bulldogs six national berths in the North Central region next season instead of four.
