UMD\'S ANSON TO ATTEND CINCINNATI BENGALS MINI CAMP NEXT MONTH

Brandan Anson attended last weekend's Cincinnati Rookie Camp with one goal in mind -- to catch the attention of the Bengals coaching staff. And, that's exactly what he did.

The University of Minnesota Duluth wide receiver says he made enough of an impression to receive an invitation to the Bengals' Mini Camp, which is scheduled to run on June 12-14 at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati.

\"Overall, I thought things went really well in Cincinnati,\" said Anson, who was one of 46 participants at last weekend's event. \"It was such a great experience for me, to be on the field working out with so many highly-skilled athletes, and to get asked back to the Mini-Camp made it that much more special.\"

Anson, who transferred to UMD from California's Joaquin Delta College in 2006, closed out his somewhat brief, but prosperous, two-year Bulldog career last fall by pacing the North Central Conference in pass reception average (a school-record 6.9 per outing) while making the second most catches (69) in team history. For his efforts, the Pacoima, Calif. native was bestowed with All-NCC second team honors.
