The University of Minnesota Duluth lost their seventh game in a row Friday night as the University of Minnesota Crookston posted its first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference win of the season by besting the visiting Bulldogs 78-64.
UMD (7-16 overall, 4-12 NSIC,) fell behind 42-22 at halftime, hitting only eight of 23 shots for a 34.8 shooting percentage in the first half, while the Golden Eagles (4-18, 1-15) shot 51.6 percent from the field. The Bulldogs picked it up after half, however, making 53.8 percent of their field goals in the second half, but the improved effort proved to be too little too late.
Freshman forward Dylan Rodriguez led the Bulldogs with 18 points to go with four rebounds.
UMD will look to get back on the winning track Saturday when tits travel to Minnesota State University- Moorhead. Tip off is at 8 pm.
