The University of Minnesota Duluth's annual Youth Football Camp concluded Thursday afternoon (April 28) with some 41 youngsters in grades 3-7 taking part in the two-day event at James S. Malosky Stadium. Three members of the UMD coaching staff -- Curt Weise, Peter Lue, and Jake Landry -- along with a number of Bulldog players including Chase Volger, Eli Kelley Andrew Pattock, Marc Dahlin, Derek Swanhorst, Brian Lucas, Steve Ierulli, Kal Herzog, Mitch Van Effen, and Tyler Hilar, instructed the participants on offensive fundamentals. Kane Valine, a seventh grader at Proctor (Minn.) Middle School, won the the Faster Camper competition.
UMD will also hold a number of football camps this summer, beginning with the 11-man Team Camp on June 20-22.
