RING LEADS BULLDOGS AT SATURDAY'S PARENT'S DAY OPEN

In its final tuneup before next weekend's Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, the University of Minnesota Duluth women took part in the Parent's Day Open Saturday in Minneapolis, Minn., where it turned in top seven finishes in seven different events.

Highlighting that list was junior Kelsi Ring, who placed second in 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.90 and seventh in the triple jump (35'-09.25").  Sophomore Ameila Maher clocked in at 1:00.15 in the 400-meter dash to take fifth while junior Kayla Johnson finished sixth in the 1,000-meter run (3:04.94). Sophomore Jennifer Hitchock (49'-03.50" in the weight throw), freshman Kayla Wiltrout (10'-06.25" in the pole vault) and sophomore Erin Pangerl (7.97 in the 60-meter dash) all earned seventh place finishes at the event, which was held on the University of Minnesota campus.

The NSIC Indoor Track and Field Championships are scheduled for Feb. 22-23 in Mankato, Minn.
