The University of Minnesota Duluth track and field teams wrapped up their regular season of competition Wednesday, April 30 at Hamline University's Meet of the UnSaintly.
Setting the tone for the day were the Bulldog 4x100m relay teams. The women's squad ran to a new school record as well as a first place finish with a time of 47.07. The team consisted of Emily Anderson, Hailey Hollar, Jordan Grell, and Kate Fitzgerald. The Bulldog men also ran to a first place finish and a meet record. Cole Brisbois, Billy Auvin, Brock Unger, and Brady Johnson took the race in a time of 41.02.
In the men's 110m hurdles, junior Sam Blomberg tied his own school record while taking second place in the event with a time of 14.41. Sophomore Lillian Wanzek went on to take second in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 14.92.
The Bulldogs also dominated in the 200m, with freshman Hailey Hollar snagging both a PR and first place finish in the event with a time of 24.65. Teammate and junior Kate Fitzgerald was right on her heels for a second place finish in a time of 24.66. Sophomore Brady Johnson also took second for the men in the same event (21.53).
UMD also saw much success on the field, with freshman Allysah Larson taking first in the women's long jump (5.53m), and sophomore Graycee Roubinek throwing to first place and a PR in the collegiate division of the women's hammer throw (43.90m). Sophomore Erin Steinman also snagged a runner-up placing in the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.08m.
In the women's 800m, senior Savannah Schley took first with a time of 2:10.53.
Freshman Hailey Hollar also grabbed another PR as well as a second place finish in the women's 100m with a time of 12.02.
In the men's 400m hurdles, assistant coach David Palmer competed and took home a second place finish with a time of 53.63.
Yet another runner-up placing came from the Bulldog women's 4x400m relay. Emily Bastian, Madi Wodele, Brookelyn Kuechle, and Sierra Ingle ran down a time of 4:00.25 in the event.
The next action for the UMD track and field teams will be on May 8,9, and 10 at Malosky Stadium in Duluth for the 2025 NSIC Outdoor Conference Championships.
