McManus(Spotlight)2014

Men's Hockey

BULLDOG SPOTLIGHT: LUKE McMANUS

Luke McManus
Some guys have all the luck when it comes to staying clear of the injury bug. Luke McManus isn't one of them.

The University of Minnesota Duluth junior defenseman hasn't completely shaken an upper body injury which he incurred on Dec. 1, 2012 at Michigan Tech University and it's certainly has had an adverse effect on his ice time. (He managed just three appearances the rest of the way in 2012-13 and has played in just over half of the club's 20 games this winter).

McManus, a two-time Western Collegiate Hockey Association Scholar-Athlete Award recipient, is hoping to  jump back into the Bulldog lineup this weekend when UMD takes part in the first-ever North Star College Cup at the Xcel Energy Center.
