Senior guard Jordan Reetz led the Bulldog offense in the opening half, tossing down 18 points on 6-of-7 shooting. The two teams traded points with neither leading by more than four in the opening frame, but UMD (7-9, 5-7 NSIC) took a single-point advantage at 41-40 into the locker room. Reetz finished the game with 22 points to lead the Bulldogs. Junior guards Reece Zoelle and Junior Coleman had 14 points each and senior Peter Crawford added 10 points while also leading UMD with six boards. U-Mary out-rebounded UMD 34-to-25 including 25 on the defensive end.

UMD returns to Romano Gym to open a four-game homestand next weekend against Minnesota State University-Moorhead. Opening tip is set for 8:00 p.m., following the women's contest.
