BULLDOG SPOTLIGHT: TONY CAMERANESI

After debuting with a Western Collegiate Hockey Association All-Rookie Team-caliber season, Tony Cameranesi experienced a marked dip in his offensive numbers last winter (some 13 points from the previous year). Regaining that scoring touch with a bounce-back year was what the junior center and the University of Minnesota Duluth coaching staff had envisioned for 2014-15.

So far so good.

Through 20 games, the Plymouth, Minn., native has generated 15 points on five goals and a team-leading 10 assists while going a +7. Cameranesi, who has taken shifts in all 94 outings since joining the UMD program two years ago, is also the current owner of the a career-high seven-game scoring streak (the longest such run of any Bulldog this season), which he'll carry into Friday night's National Collegiate Hockey Conference series opener with visiting Western Michigan University.
