UMD SETS SIGHTS ON 20-YEAR HISTORY HEADING TO FIRST-HALF FINALE

Throughout the past 21 seasons, the University of Minnesota Duluth has seen ups and downs: NCAA Tournament berths and NSIC titles but also a 15-loss seasons. One thing has remained steady throughout that which is St. Cloud State University having the Bulldogs' number, particularly on the road.

UMD (7-3, 4-1 NSIC) has not won in St. Cloud since Dec. 15, 1994. With a 68-66 victory over the Huskies at Romano Gym on Nov. 28 earlier this season on the books, the Bulldogs will look to make their first-ever sweep of St. Cloud State since the two teams started playing multiple times during the regular season. It would also mark the first time since that December 1994 meeting that UMD defeated St. Cloud State twice in a row. Beyond the historical significance and more importantly, the Bulldogs will be seeking another key Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division victory when they face the Huskies this Saturday afternoon.
