This weekend, University of Minnesota Duluth hockey fans will have an opportunity to view the playoff trophy that is being sought after by teams in the nation's premier conference. The National Collegiate Hockey Conference is in the midst of its second season of competition, and NCHC Frozen Faceoff Trophy is making its rounds to the home arenas of the eight NCHC teams.
The NCHC Frozen Faceoff Trophy, will make its next stop at AMSOIL Arena this Friday and Saturday (Feb. 13-14) when the Bulldogs take St. Cloud State University. Fans are encouraged to take pictures with this prestigious piece of hardware either night -- but not touch it. That's a privilege saved for the team that wins it. The trophy will on display from 6:00 p.m. until five minutes into the third period on the main concourse behind section 101.
The NCHC Frozen Faceoff is set for March 20-21 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn.
