University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey coach
Maura Crowell has had quite an impressive April.
Just a few weeks after Crowell was named the second head coach in Bulldog history, Crowell has been named an assistant coach for the U.S. Women's National Under-18 Team for the 2015-16 season. Â She will join head coach Joel Johnson and Katie Lachapelle, also named an assistant head coach for the upcoming season.
Crowell will help lead the U.S. Women's National Under-18 Team at the 2015 Women's Under-18 series against Canada in Lake Placid, New York from August 20-23. Â She will also be on the bench at the IIHF Under-18 Women's World Championship that will take place in Canada in early 2016.
After coaching at various USA Hockey development camps and festivals in recent years, this will mark Crowell's first Team USA coaching assignment with the U.S. Women's National Under-18 Team.
