Skye Finley lifted a game-tying score in the 87th minute to knot the University of Minnesota Duluth at 1-1 with St. Cloud State University as the two teams accepted a double overtime tie in their Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opener on Tuesday night in St. Cloud.

Carlye Wright, who made eight stops against the Huskies (1-1-1, 0-0-1 NSIC) as both teams searched for offense throughout the night. As a team, UMD finished with 11 shots in regulation, including seven on-net, all stopped by St. Cloud junior 'keeper Brittany Plombon, until Finley, a junior transfer, scored the first goal of her Bulldog career--against her former team--with an assist from junior midfielder
Marissa GanskeHuskies freshman forward Maria Kass had netted the game's only goal to that point just as the clock ticked past 64 minutes into the contest, getting an assist from fellow freshman Maria Witte. The Bulldogs got an assist late in the game as a Huskies' attempt ricocheted off the top corner of the goal, but both goalkeepers were steady otherwise. UMD added a pair of shots in the extra period, including one stopped by Plombon. SCSU had three shots, one on-target, in overtime.
