For a second-straight week, the University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey team is ranked No. 4 in the latest USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine national polls.
The Bulldogs suffered a 3-2 overtime loss to the No. 2 University of Minnesota last Saturday after the Gophers snuck by the Bulldogs 4-3 on Friday. Â Overall, UMD is 3-2-1 and 2-2-0 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, but owns a 1-2-1 against teamed ranked in the top-four in the NCAA. Â The Bulldogs have the fourth-best offense in the nation with a 3.67 goals per game average, as well as the fourth-ranked power play at 23.3.
UMD will again host a ranked opponent this Friday and Saturday when the No. 9/10 Bemidji State University comes to AMSOIL Arena. Â Friday night the puck will drop at 7:07 p.m., while the puck will drop Saturday afternoon at 4:07 p.m.
