UMD GOAL-SCORING LEADER FARLEY SIGNS WITH CLEVELAND'S LAKE ERIE MONSTERS OF AHL

Austin Farley, who closed the book on his University of Minnesota Duluth career last weekend, has signed a American Hockey League amateur tryout contract with Cleveland's Lake Erie Monsters, in advance of their road game this Friday with the Chicago Wolves.

Farley, a native of Niles, Ill., ranked first among 2015-16 Bulldogs in a host of categories including goals (15 -- he shared that honor with Dominic Toninato), power play scores (nine), game-winners (5), shot percentage (.179) and plus-minus rating (+26) while appearing in 37 of 40 games. He generated 31 points on the season, which placed him second to linemate and fellow senior Tony Cameranesi on the team's scoring charts, with a team-leading 21 of those points coming in National Collegiate Hockey Conferece play. Farley served as a Bulldog assistant team captain this past winter and qualified for the NCHC All-Academic Team for the first time.

For his career, Farley skated in 144 games and had 106 points (46 goals and 60 assists) to show for it. He also was a +21 and scored over half (24) of his goals while on the power play.
