Chanel Miller and
Hannah Olson all came away individual titles at the Hamline University Invitational Sunday -- UMD's first meet of the 2016 outdoor track and field season.
Brunner reigned in the triple jump with a leap of 37'-11.5" while also taking third in the long jump (16'-11.25"). Miller was first in the 100-meter hurdles, posting a time of 14.27 and also teamed with sophomore
Erica Kesseh and freshmen
Danielle Kohlwey and
Allie Stalboerger to take top honors in the 4 x 100-meter relay (49.00). Olson (10:31.25) and sophomore
Breanna Colbenson (10:43.25) finished 1-2, respectively, in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and did so in NCAA II provisionally-qualifying times -- as did Miller in the 100-meter hurdles. In addition to Colbenson, UMD also received second-place performances from Kesseh in the 100-meter dash (12.49) and freshman
Michaela Hesse in the high jump (5'-1") while Brunner (16'-11.25" in the long jump) and sophomore
Rachelle LeBlanc (10'-11.75" in the pole vault) both finished third in their events.
Next up for UMD is University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's Ashton May Invitational this Saturday (April 9)
