The University of Minnesota Duluth shutout Northern State 1-0 to capture its fourth win of the season. The Bulldogs won just four games all of last season, where they lost or tied their last seven games.
The Bulldogs (4-2-2; 2-1-2 NSIC) only needed one goal to take down the Wolves (4-3; 2-3 NSIC), Sunday afternoon. UMD has now won back-to-back games for the first time since Sunday, Oct. 26 and Friday, Oct. 31, 2014.
Coming off a 3-1 victory against MSU-Moorhead on Friday, the Bulldogs offense stayed hot as they out-shot the Wolves 17-7. Junior forward

UMD is now 2-1-2 on the road this season. The Bulldogs finished 1-5-2 on the road last season, with their lone win coming against Sioux Falls in a 3-0 victory.
UMD will next face Upper Iowa (3-4; 2-3 NSIC) Friday (Sept. 30). The Peacocks have won just one of their last four games with all three of their losses coming as shutouts.
