A small contingent from the University of Minnesota Duluth paid a visit to Collegeville, Minn., Saturday to make their 2017 outdoor track and field debut at the Saint Johns University Outdoor Invitational.
Four Bulldogs captured four individual titles at the event, which was held at Clemens Stadium, and that quartet included junior
Cody Sedbrook in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:54.62). freshman
Bradford Owens in the javelin (174'-8"), sophomore
Andrew Lind in the high jump (5'-10.75") and junior
Clinton Treichel in the shot put (47'-4.5").
In addition, treshman
Wyatt Midtvedt placed second in both the 1,500-meter run (4:11.59) and in 800-meter run (2:00.69). Runnerup finishes were also turned in by sophomore
Logan Gelineau in the discus throw (146'-0") and senior
Brian Lee in the hammer throw (158'-5").
The entire Bulldog team will be in St. Paul, Minn., next Saturday (April 1) for the Hamline University Invitational.
