The University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey team has announced the signing of three student-athletes to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period today.

Kasundra (Kassy) Betinol (Okotoks, Alberta), Mannon McMahon (Maple Grove, Minn.), and Taylor Stewart (Rochester, Minn.) will join the Bulldog program beginning with the 2019-20 season.

"We are happy to welcome Kassy, Mannon, and Taylor to the Bulldog hockey family", said UMD head coach Maura Crowell. Â "They are a talented trio who will make an impact on our hockey program as we strive to win more national championships, but more importantly, they will be great ambassadors on our campus and in the community of Duluth."

Betinol was a member of Team Alberta in the 2018 U-18 Championship, and was chosen to the 2018 Team Alberta U-18 Team Alberta Camp to compete in the Canada Winter Games in February of 2019. Â The 5-3 forward also participated in the 2018 Team China National Development Camp. Named the 2018 Top Scorer at Okanagan Hockey Academy Female Prep, Betinol was also a 2018 Top Academic at OHA Female Prep, as well as Tournament Champion at the 2018 Stoney Creek University Showcase. Â In 2017, Betinol was a Canadian Sports Hockey League Female Prep League Champion, and in 2016 was the top scorer for the Rocky Mountain Raiders, as well as an assistant captain.

McMahon was a USA Hockey Under-18 Select 66 Camp attendee in Biddeford, Maine in 2017, took part in the 2017 USA Hockey Women's National Festival that took place in Lake Placid, N.Y. and was selected to USA Hockey's U-18 National Development Camp in 2016 in St. Cloud, Minn. Â A 5-7 forward, McMahon is currently a senior at Maple Grove Senior High, where the two-time team captain is also a two-time Northwest Suburban selection (2017-18 and 2016-17). McMahon was a MSHSL State Tournament runner-up with Maple Grove HS in 2015-16, and has twice led the Crimson in assists (2017-18, 2016-17), as well as points as a sophomore and goals as a junior one season ago. Â McMahon was also a MSHSL State Tournament runner-up in 2017 for soccer, as well as a MSHL State Tournament participant in 2018 to go with a First Team All-State nod this fall.

Stewart has won two national championships in Tier I hockey with Shattuck St. Mary's in both 2018 and 2016. Â The 5-10 defenseman was a USA Hockey U-18 National Development Camp participant in 2015 in St. Cloud, Minn., and attended two USA Hockey U-18 Select 66 Camps in both 2017 and 2018 in Biddeford, Maine. Â Stewart was also an named alternate for the 2017 U-18 U.S. National Team Festival.
