Over a dozen current and former University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs are getting in some valuable pre-season ice work by participating in development/prospect camps with various National Hockey League clubs in June and July. That group includes 2018-19 Bulldog senior center
Peter Krieger (Tampa Bay), junior defenseman
Nick Wolff (Buffalo), junior winger
Riley Tufte (Dallas, junior goaltender
Hunter Shepard (Buffalo and Minnesota), sophomore defensemen
Mikey Anderson (Los Angeles),
Scott Perunovich (St. Louis) and
Dylan Samberg (Winnipeg), sophomore center
Justin Richards (Columbus), sophomore left winger
Nick Swaney (Minnesota) and freshmen forwards Noah Cates (Philadelphia), Jackson Cates (Minnesota) and Cole Koepke (Tampa Bay),
In addition, a trio forwards who skated for the NCAA national champion Bulldogs last winter --
Joey Anderson (New Jersey),
Karson Kuhlman (Boston) and
Jared Thomas (St. Louis) -- are also attending NHL camps.
The Calgary Flames and Chicago Blackhawks have yet to release their 2018 camp rosters.
