The University of Minnesota Duluth had seven representatives, including seven seniors, on the Don Hansen All-Super Region Four Teams, which were announced today.
Senior linebacker
Alex Helmer attained first-team honors; while senior center
Jason Anderson, senior safety
Sam Lynch and senior offensive tackle
Trapper Ward were second team picks. Another trio of Bulldogs were third team members: senior defensive tackle
Dre Greer, senior offensive tackle
Matt Juneau (a 2018 American Football Coaches Association second team All-American) and sophomore linebacker
Nate Pearson.
The Bulldogs closed out their 86th year of intercollegiate football with an 11-1 overall record (going a perfect 11-0 during the regular season) and captured a share of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference championship while claiming the NSIC North Division title for the 11th year in a row. UMD also earned its ninth NCAA Division II playoff berth since 2008 and was ranked 13th in the final AFCA II Poll.
